Meta Connect 2025 officially kicks off on Wednesday at 5 p.m. PT, starting with a keynote address from CEO Mark Zuckerberg. While the conference is being hosted at Meta’s headquarters in Menlo Park, anyone can sign up to watch the livestream for free on the company’s website. The keynote is expected to last about an hour.
Even more so, for those who want a more immersive experience, the keynote will also be available in Horizon for Meta Quest users. Alternatively, you can catch the stream on Facebook through Meta’s official developer hub, Meta for Developers.
There have already been several leaks about a new model of smart glasses from Meta. Supposedly called Meta Hypernova glasses, they have been leaked directly from a video that was posted on the Meta YouTube channel. Minutes later, it was taken down, but several people had the chance to view it and started to make social media posts about it.
The video featured a new model of Ray-Ban Meta glasses with a head-up display integrated into the right lens. Even more so, the new pair of Meta smart glasses features advanced cameras, microphones, and an artificial intelligence assistant. It should be noted that in the video, the actors were controlling the smart glasses through a wristband, which was previously revealed at the last Meta Connect event. We can expect to see the launch of this wristband as well.
Meta is expected to unveil a new pair of smart glasses developed with Oakley at Connect 2025. The AI-powered glasses are rumored to follow the Oakley Spheara design, featuring a single, large front lens, making it an ideal pair for runners and cyclists. Unlike previous Meta smart glasses, this model has only one camera positioned above the nose bridge instead of two at the top corners of the glasses frame.
The Meta Connect 2025 conference is about to start, so prepare yourself to see the new innovations and devices from Meta. Stay tuned for more updates!
