Let’s start with the classic version, iPhone 17, which seems to be a great deal for everyone who is looking to upgrade their phone. With a 6.3” Super Retina XDR display, an A19 chip, starting from $799, this iPhone comes in 5 gorgeous colors: mist blue, sage, white, black, and lavender. We haven’t seen a lavender color on an iPhone since the iPhone 14 launch, but after three generations, Apple decided that it's time to bring back the gorgeous lavender colors, which are loved by the majority of users.
Regarding the camera capabilities, the iPhone 17 features two rear cameras, both with 48MP Fusion. The difference is that one of them includes Ultra Wide mode, allowing for a 2x zoom. The front camera also gets an upgrade to 18MP with the Center Stage feature that allows dual capture.
I know you’re excited about the new Air model, but let’s dive into the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max first, because these two are some interesting phone models.
So, what’s new about the Pro models? We can say that a lot of things are different, from the phone design to the software and hardware components. The design differs from that of the previous Pro models. With a heat-forged aluminum unibody, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are available in three colors: Deep Blue, Silver, and the interesting Cosmic Orange. You heard it right, Cosmic Orange, a color that we haven’t seen until iPhone 17 Pro. You either hate it or love it; there’s no in between, but it seems that it sparked a lot of controversy online.
Regarding the specs, both iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max feature a Super Retina XDR display, but with different sizes, of course. The iPhone 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Same as the iPhone 17, these Pro models feature an 18 MP Center Stage front camera with dual camera, but for the rear cameras, the Pro models have an added 48 MP Fusion Telephoto with .5x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x optical zoom options.
The prices are different for these two iPhones, with a price starting at $1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro, and from $1,199 for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Now, the most awaited announcement, the iPhone Air. Everyone expected this launch, even those who are not Apple fans. This is considered the biggest announcement for Apple because it features a phone model that has never been manufactured before. We are used to the Air models from MacBooks, but this name was never mentioned on a phone before.
iPhone Air is the slimmest Apple phone ever, with a thickness of 5.6 mm, meaning that it is about 0.08 inches thinner than the existing iPhones. With a 6.6-inch screen and 120 Hz refresh rate, iPhone Air has taken the place of the Plus model, becoming a much slimmer and advanced version.
It should be mentioned that the iPhone Air is compatible with eSIM only, because if it had an eSIM tray, Apple couldn’t make it this thin.
Compared with the base iPhone 17, the Air model features an A19 Pro Chip, which is much powerful and capable, even in this thin design. The price for iPhone Air starts at $999, about $200 more compared to the base model, and you can find it available in 4 colors: sky blue, light gold, cloud white, and space black.
When does iOS 26 come out? You probably noticed that we haven’t mentioned anything about the great iOS 26, but this is because Apple has already presented the new iOS at a previous event. But during this September event, Apple declared that the official version of iOS 26 will be available starting from September 15 as a free software update.
