He also promised support for advancing multilingual AI models and accelerating drug discovery efforts by companies like Novo Nordisk.
"In just two years, we will increase the amount of AI computing capacity in Europe by a factor of 10," claimed Huang in its presentation at GTC Paris.
"Europe has now awakened to the importance of AI factories and the importance of the AI infrastructure," he said, as he detailed a vision for 20 AI factories across Europe.
The chip manufacturer plans to build the facility in Germany, equipped with 10,000 GPUs, including Nvidia DGX B200 systems and RTX PRO Servers. This industrial cloud powered by artificial intelligence will run CUDA-X libraries and support RTX and Omniverse workloads used by top software developers.
While funding details for the AI Cloud are unclear, the European Commission has announced plans to invest $20 billion in AI infrastructure.
Even more so, Nvidia is teaming up with European artificial intelligence leader Mistral to build an AI computing system powered by 18,000 of its latest chips, aimed at serving businesses across Europe
"Sovereign AI is an imperative - no company, industry, or nation can outsource its intelligence," Jensen Huang said.
Huang has been travelling around the globe to encourage businesses to adopt AI and warn about the risks of falling behind. On monday in London, he said the UK doesn’t have enough computing power to fully use its AI research.
Nvidia is also launching new tools to help build “AI factories”. These will let governments and companies create secure, locally adapted AI systems, especially important for sectors like healthcare, finance, and public services.
According to them, several European firms are already building these factories, including BNP Paribas, Finanz Informatik, and even L’Oreal, witch is developing an AI beauty assistant with a partner startup.
