It seems that now, all artificial intelligence companies are trying hard to release their own AI video generation models in order to remain competitive along with the industry models such as Sora by OpenAI, Firefly from Adobe, Google’s Veo 3, and many others.
But what makes Midjourney truly unique, and different from the other models, is that, while these companies focus on developing AI models that can be used in commercial or promotional settings, Midjourney AI offers a model that creates impressive and remarkable creative outcomes.
According to the company’s statement, it seems that the Midjourney AI model aims to develop a technology to be able to generate much longer videos that can be used in movies. Even more so, the company’s plans don’t stop there, as they have other long-term goals to develop a 3D rendering program powered by artificial intelligence.
Now, users are able to select a certain setting for the animation after they have uploaded their image, in order to make the image move, powered by the artificial intelligence capabilities. Even more so, they can upload a certain image and describe in text what exactly they want to generate starting from that image.
Even though initially the videos are generated to be only five seconds long, users have the option to extend the videos by four seconds, but no more than four times, to obtain a 21-second-long generated video.
We must admit that this new AI image-to-video model is indeed powerful and can generate impressive videos, and all the industry’s specialists and enthusiasts about artificial intelligence are considering that Midjourney AI will surely become a popular video model.
But different from other models that offer at least one free generated AI video per session, Midjourney AI requires a $10/ month subscription plan. Of course. There are other, much expensive subscription plans, one for $60 per month, and one for $120, which offers an unlimited number of videos generated, in the Midjourney “Relax” slower mode.
All the pricing details will be available starting next month. Stay tuned for more updates!
