The Google 2.0 Flash Thinking is already available in the model options on both mobile and desktop along with another version of the model that can cooperate with various apps such as YouTube, Search, or Google Maps. This version was first introduced in December last year, but now it’s expected to reveal impressive functionalities that compete with some of the best artificial intelligence reasoning models from OpenAI or DeepSeek.
So, Wednesday Google launched an experimental version of the AI model, the Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite on its artificial intelligence development platforms, Vertex AI and Google AI Studio. In addition to this, Gemini 2.0 will be also available to the Gemini Advanced subscribers directly into the Gemini app.
“We’re releasing a new model, Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite, our most cost-efficient model yet, in public preview in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.”, Google stated in their announcement.
Reasoning models are able to operate based on breaking the problems and issues into much smaller and simpler steps, which makes the AI model more capable of thinking and finding answers for more complex prompts. But it’s important to mention that even if the artificial intelligence reasoning models will provide more accurate results, they will usually take longer to gather all the information.
It is believed that the third model release, the Gemini Pro model has an outstanding performance in coding and also in managing more complex tasks, compared with any of the previous Google AI models, with a better understanding feature. Gemini 2.0 Pro is able to handle different tools such as Google Search and it is also able to implement codes for users.
Now, all the Gemini 2.0 AI models are available for users in the mobile app and desktop website, with impressive thinking capabilities and the ability to handle complex prompts.
