The monthly pricing for Alexa Plus starts at $19.99, but it’s important to mention that all Amazon Prime members are able to use Alexa Plus for free. We must admit that Amazon Prime is a far way better deal due to the fact that it costs monthly only $14.99.
"Alexa knows almost every instrument in your life, your schedule, your smart home, your preferences, the devices you're using, the people you're connected to, the entertainment you love and uses many of the apps you use, a lot of the services you need,", the Amazon head of devices and services stated.
This new upgrade will be available for almost all Amazon devices that support the Alexa voice assistant. The first devices to receive the Alexa Plus upgrade will be Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21, which will start rolling out next month.
At the launching event, Panos Panay demonstrated how the artificial intelligence Alexa has the capability to filter the customer's preferences and take various actions based on those details. As before, customers can still control all the smart home devices, including the Amazon lights and cameras, but the company emphasizes the fact that the Alexa Plus can create routines for them.
Even more so, customers can use Alexa Plus artificial intelligence for different activities such as music, even finding different song findings based on just a couple of details. The Alexa Plus voice assistant also has the feature to jump on specific scenes in a movie when requested, which was shown in the event demo. We must wait and see what additional capabilities and features the AI Alexa Plus will have when it starts rolling out next month. Stay tuned for more updates!
