Now, all users that type in their browsers the Threads.net domain, will be automatically redirected to the primary URL domain. This new domain change is able to offer the Meta company the opportunity to have a memorable website that users find easier to type and in order to access the Instagram Threads social media platform.
Because now, the Threads social media app has recorded more than 320 million monthly active users, it’s important to provide all users with an easy domain name and new features that can significantly improve the overall experience.
So, in addition to the domain change, Adam Mosseri the Instagram head, has announced this Thursday that the Instagram Threads app will have other new updates. The first update is the custom feeds that will be visible on the web app in the same way as they are available on the mobile app. Also, users will be able to see their saved posts directly from the main menu without needing to create a separate pinned column to access them.

Probably the most interesting addition to Instagram Threads is the ability to find and even follow the same people and creators that you follow on X social media platform. How can this work, you might ask, because they are two different social media apps, right? Well, introduced earlier in April, this feature allows you to upload the following archive downloaded from X, directly into your Threads account, to find all your favorite creators much more easily.
Threads really managed to introduce small but important new features that make a significant improvement in the user experience. Stay tuned to be the first who find out the next new Threads features!
