The Google Weather App Powered By Artificial Intelligence Is Now Available For Older Models

Now, users with Pixel 6 or newer models will be able to experience the Google Weather App with AI functionalities. Get all the weather summaries in one place!

long with the Pixel 9 launch, Google launched also an independent weather AI app that is able to make a summary of the outside weather conditions using

artificial intelligence technology. According to 9to5Google, this improved weather AI app will be now available for the Pixel 6 and newer phones that run on Android 15.

The Pixel Weather represents a new and improved version of the background weather service that is on Google devices and provides the city temperatures in the Google Clock app. To have this new Google AI weather app, users must update the service in the Google Play Store.

After that, users will observe a “Weather” icon app in the menu. Let’s review some of the steps that need to be done in the set-up process in order to use the Google Weather app:

It’s important to always allow the AI app notifications and also to allow the precise location feature.
After that, users need to tap on their profile avatars > Pixel Weather settings and make Pixel Weather the primary source for notifications.
To keep things working properly is recommended to restart the device in order to have all the widgets available and enjoy the the Google Weather app experience.

The Google Weather app for Android will collect all the saved locations that were already included in the previous service and will let users track the weather in various locations of their choice. Also, this new Google AI app will allow users to arrange all weather data blocks, track the weather on a global map, and get a summary of the weather predictions powered by AI technology to be prepared for every scenario.

The Google Weather app AI provides data and information to users about the precipitation level, wind, sunrise, sunset, the UV index, air quality, visibility, humidity, and pressure.

So, if you have a Google Pixel 6 or newer series, you will see soon the new weather app AI features as a new update in the Google Play Store.
