IBM Reveals New AI Models for Businesses Amid Intensifying Generative AI Competition

BM revealed its latest version of artificial intelligence models. The models have the purpose of creating an environment where

businesses that are looking into capitalizing and growing can adapt better with generative AI technology.

The model released by IBM is named Granite 3.0 and will be an open-source product and will have similar qualities to the available versions in IBM’s Granite family of AI models. This is an uncommon approach as it differs from the procedure seen in their competition – Microsoft.

In exchange, IBM has a paid instrument named Watsonx that has the purpose of facilitating an environment where they can run models in their data centers, only after they have been customized.

Even more so, you can find the new Granite model available for commercial use on the Watsonx platform, starting this Monday. On Nvidia’s stock software tools, we can also find a selection of these models and enable companies to include them in the AI models.

The new AI model – Granite has been trained with the help of Nvidia’s H100 graphics processor units (GPUs) as IBM’s director of research, Dario Gil, has stated. We also can mention that as of today, Nvidia is the chip leader when it comes to artificial intelligence.
