Bluesky represents a social media platform that has gained popularity recently, with almost 11 million new users since early November. According to the company, in the mid-December, the social media app recorded about 25 million daily active users.
As TechCrunch states, the new Trending Topics feature from Bluesky is now available for all users in a beta version for now. By using this feature, all users will be able to see that subjects and topics are the most popular in the social media app, and since its recent launch topics such as Christmas and Wikipedia have been head of the list.
According to the social media company, this new feature is available only in English due to the fact that is still in beta testing. It’s important to mention that users have the option to disable this new characteristic by going to Settings and in the Content and Media section the button for “Enable trending topics” will be easy to access.
According to the Bluesky social media platform, the next version of the Trending Topics will be improved based on all user’s feedback. Even though this new Bluesky element is available only in English, it should be mentioned that the Trending Topics feature is available worldwide, compared with the Threads app which feature is currently available only in the U.S. territory and Japan.
Even more so, the Bluesky app has the option for users to mute certain words or phrases in order to hide the content related to those words. If users don’t want to see certain phrases in their trending list, they are able to mute them and enjoy their own customized trending record.
