He wrote on X: ’’Today was my last day at xAI, the company that I helped start with Elon Musk in 2023. I still remember the day I first met Elon, we talked for hours about AI and what the future might hold. We both felt that a new AI company with a different kind of mission was needed’’.
His firm, Babuschkin Venture, will focus on the safe use of AI to benefit humans and reduce any potential risks. The major inspirations for this new project were Babuschkin’s parents and their past efforts to immigrate to America for a better life. On top of that, after a discussion with the physician, Max Tegmark, Babuschkin was deeply touched by one powerful question: ’’How can we build AI safely to ensure that our children can flourish?’’
The former xAI co-founder mentioned in his post that he and Elon Musk were united by the same vision and mission, that artificial intelligence should be useful for humans for good reasons.
The former co-founder also put emphasis on the evolution and challenges the xAI company faced. ’’Through blood sweat and tears, our team’s blistering velocity built the Memphis supercluster, and shipped frontier models faster than any company in history’’, he mentioned.
Some unfortunate events made matters worse for the ex xAI co-founder. The xAI artificial intelligence chatbot Grok gave ’’lectures’’ about the problematic conspiracy of the ’’white genocide’’ in South Africa. The Elon Musk xAI company replied to the backlashes by stating that they will administer more in-depth evaluations to avoid unauthorized alterations made by workers to Grok’s system.
Elon Musk xAI sparked the attention of the Memphis locals due to their pollution activity in the city. Protests took place because of the usage of combustion turbines that power the data processing centers.
Another scandal caused by xAi artificial intelligence was the antisemitic statements, Grok naming itself ’’Metchahitler’’. Posts made by Grok glorifying Hitler started to circulate on the X platform and Musk’s official artificial intelligence page stated that they’re vigorously working on removing all the inappropriate content.
