he popular chatbot that the xAI company owns, recently announced purchasing a canvas-like feature to offer the option to create and edit different
documents and apps. Released under the name Grok Studio, this new AI tool was announced directly on the company’s X account on Tuesday, and it’s already available for public use on both paid and free versions.
It’s important to know that the users with a free version will enjoy basic functionalities such as document processing and limited code generation, while users with an X Premium+ or SuperGrok paid version will have more advanced features such as Think Mode or DeepSearch.
Users can access this new Grok AI tool on the chatbot’s website or directly from the dedicated app which is available on both Android and Apple app stores.
“Grok can now generate documents, code, reports, and browser games. Grok Studio will open your content in a separate window, allowing both you and Grok to collaborate on the content together.”, Grok stated in the announcement post.
Grok Studio has more capabilities besides creating and editing documents and apps and can generate and edit different types of digital content such as code or games, making it an interesting feature that can significantly help users in their creation process.

Similar to ChatGPT’s Canvas feature, Grok Studio has an interesting interface with two split screens in order to display the chatbot’s responses on the left side, while on the right side, Grok opens the generated content. This type of interface allows users to have a better view of the entire outcome while Grok generates the content according to their prompts.
Also, this new AI tool offers users the possibility to generate and preview HTML snippets and execute code in JavaScript, Python, and C++ programming languages. Even more so, Grok Studio adds support for Google Drive and allows users to attach files such as spreadsheets, slide presentations, and documents directly to a session.
It should be mentioned that Grok Studio represents currently the most recent chatbot which is fully dedicated to creating and editing different projects. As stated above, the OpenAI company launched a similar feature called Canvas back in October, while Anthropic was the first AI company that released this kind of capability for Claude, called Artifacts. So, this means that Grok AI chatbot is part of a competition with other companies and AI chatbots and models because it has released a similar feature.
Stay tuned for more Grok new capabilities!
