Now, WhatsApp offers multiple features for iPad users to enable multitasking. Users can access Split View, Slide Over, and a Stage Manager feature, which seems to be a lot more attractive and useful.
So, users are able to use the WhatsApp iPad app in the same way as on laptops and can send messages while searching for something in the WhatsApp web browser thanks to the Split View and Slide over features. Even more so, they can share their screen in video or audio calls with up to 32 people.
On smartphones, for example, some of these features were not as accessible, due to the fact that users needed to switch between apps in order to do them.
According to the WhatsApp announcement post, Apple iPad users can also use iPad accessories such as Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil to navigate and chat with their friends and family.
The good news is that users don’t need to create a separate account for their iPads because the new iPadOS WhatsApp messenger app can be synchronized with the main WhatsApp account. So, now users can keep in touch with their colleagues, friends, and family from all their devices, including Mac, iPhone, and any other device.
It should be mentioned that users don’t need to worry about their messages, as all the chats, calls, and media are protected by WhatsApp based on end-to-end encryption.
From where can you download the WhatsApp iPad app? The process is very simple, as the new WhatsApp Messenger app can be directly downloaded from the dedicated Apple App Store.
Probably, this news is not very surprising, as some of you might have noticed that WhatsApp teased this launch a few days ago with a minor post on their X account. WhatsApp replied to a user comment who complained about the fact that the WhatsApp Messenger app was not available for iPadOS.
According to some rumors, it seems that Meta is also actively working on launching an Instagram iPad app.
Stay tuned for more updates, and to be the first who find out about the new Instagram version for iPads!
