In a happy scenario, where OpenAI could have about 500 million active users after launch, it could quickly become a serious rival to the giant Google. Currently, Google has an estimated 8.5 billion search queries, which means about 99,000 searches every second. It is truly an impressive number of search queries, but it is not surprising considering that Google is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, search engine globally.
It is known internationally, and people across the world are relying on it because it provides useful features and an entire environment for users.
Owned by the Alphabet company, Google Chrome brings in three-quarters of the total company revenue only from the AD business, which represents a great asset for Google Chrome. In Google Chrome Ads, all companies and businesses are competing to receive a spot for their potential customers.
At this moment, we don’t know for sure if OpenAI’s web browser will feature a similar Ad capability. Ads are really powerful for every platform or web browser, so this feature could be a significant aspect for some users in their choosing process.
Maybe some users will use a certain browser because it offers personalized ads according to their searches, so it’s important for all browsers to invest and develop more in this Ad area.
According to the same sources, the OpenAI browser will be designed especially to maintain the user’s interactions in an interface similar to the existing ChatGPT tool. So, openIA wants to eliminate the process of clicking directly into websites, and instead show users what they need instantly.
When asked, the giant OpenAI company refused to make any comments about these rumors.
