Apple’s new gadget comes with Apple trying to incorporate and develop home devices. Even more so, Bloomberg also reported last month that Apple is working on the development of an AI-powered wall-mounted tablet. The device can resemble an iPad and it can be voice-operated and work as an intercom and can control home appliances.
The company is also allegedly working on creating home robots. However, not all of these developments might appear to be happening. This year, Apple scrapped all their advancements when it comes to their car project and their tries in developing a subscription model for their iPhone.
The smart door device could allow Apple to interact with other home products and incorporate them into their already existing devices such as the Apple Watch and the iPhone. This can also mean a challenging situation for smart home product developers such as Google’s Nest or Amazon’s Ring.
